I had promised to post these measurements that I had used for my TARDIS Blanket
[link]All numbers are in inches (sorry metric people!) For sanity, I rounded all the measurements to the next makes-sense increment (1/8", 1/4", 1/2", etc.)
I made the "Police Public Call Box" stencil in photoshop using Arial, I think. But that was from scratch. I suggest you experiment with them for yourself, but Arial or Arial Narrow is the closest match.
The phone panel I got in a .pdf from, tardisbuilders.co.uk I think it was. But it's not hard to find. I just printed that off in full size and made a stencil from it.
Oh, and to make the panels seem 3D, take an inch off of all sides and replace them with slightly contrasting 1" strips of fabric, just make sure that the shadows are always in the same corners.
I'll be scrapping this later so bookmark it now if you want to use them!
Good luck!
NOTICE: This deviation will be moved to scraps at the end of May! Any downloads should be finished by then just in case!
and from bottom of base to top of lamp is 120.079 inches or 3050 mm.
Someone took photos of the BBC prop plans & posted them online.
Hard to find, but they are out there.
And, really, I feel the way you're calling it "almost perfect" when my results, using a fairly low resolution photo, zooming in and deciphering pixels that didn't have a really definite line at that zoom level, and using a skill most people bemoan having to learn in the first place, gave me measurements accurate to within an inch of the official prop, is less than a compliment and more of an accusation that I didn't work hard enough. I'm genuinely proud of that accomplishment, but the way you worded your message implies that I shouldn't be.
I am sorry for how my words came out.
