This was a Christmas present I started for a pen pal in England two years ago...but I underestimated how long it would really take to put together.
The TARDIS is made from polar fleece and fabric paint. It's full-size, new series dimensions (math skills FTW!), and it's surprisingly light for the material.
I'll be mailing it out soon.
EDIT: Mailed the thing out just before Thanksgiving. Don't know if my pen pal got it yet, she mentioned a post strike. I might post her reaction when I get it
EDIT2: You'll never believe this, the blanket arrived TODAY! (24 December!) How perfect is that? She's super excited and apparently her family can't get enough of it.

[link] . I don't have assembly instructions because I winged my way through it. I do have one bit of advice, though: avoid thin, velvet-like polar fleece if you can. That stuff is a bitch to sew.
