Snakeskins Conceptual

This is the concept art for the shoe ad.

I originally had two concepts: Snakeskins and The Phoenix Shoe (the other I'll post later, I left it at home).

The title is completely original but I admit that I have a terrible time drawing shoes so I found a picture of some generic shoes and traced them (after doctoring the image to make the lines visible).
The snake is an off-color King Cobra that I found a refrence picture of in my encyclopedia set. There were a lot of snakes on that page and they were all kinda blocking each other so I just took the best poses and mushed them together.
The picture is Prismacolor marker on inkjet printer paper. I got to this finished product in 2 hours (including the tracing and photocopying before drawing/coloring)
